My Mission, and I chose to accept it.

Ok

So I started to use my Twitter account again. Why not. It connects people to other people, and is pretty damn easy to use. Plus it means I can talk to people I've heard of and feel good about myself.

So I decided to Tweet the comedian Dave Gorman, to ask for tips on my upcoming debut stand up comedy gig. He very graciously replied, and all was good. However, when he discovered it was in aid of a radio feature, things started to go badly. I felt like a naughty child being scorned by an unforgiving parent! Don't get me wrong, he was still gracious in his knuckle wrapping, but still he disapproved. So I decided I would forget the radio. I am entering the world of stand-up comedy without the safety net of a radio feature, nay, but for my own personal satisfaction. I may be rubbish, I may be amazing (former is more likely) but more to the point I will be able to say I've tried it, and off my own back.

So to Mr. Gorman I say this. Thank you for making me see the light. I agree with you wholeheartedly that this is something I should enjoy and not do for some alterior motive.

Watch this space. For a long, long time.

Bye!
